Car Rental Policy

Welcome to Goa Drive ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By booking or using a vehicle through Goa Drive, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. Eligibility

  • The primary driver must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The driver must possess a valid Driving License with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Original documents must be presented during vehicle pickup.
  • Required documents:
  • Valid Driving License
  • Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID (any one)
  • Goa Drive reserves the right to refuse vehicle handover if the required documents are not produced.

2. Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
  • Goa Drive reserves the right to accept, reject, modify, or cancel any booking if necessary.
  • A booking is considered confirmed only after the required advance payment has been successfully received.

3. Vehicle Pickup & Drop-off

  • Customers must collect and return the vehicle at the location, date, and time specified in the booking confirmation.
  • A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed for vehicle return.
  • Delays beyond the grace period may attract additional rental charges or late return penalties.
  • Pickup and drop-off locations cannot be changed after booking confirmation unless approved by Goa Drive.
  • Customers are requested to contact the assigned representative at least 24 hours before the scheduled drop-off if assistance is required.

4. Trip Extension

  • Trip extension requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled return time.
  • Extension requests are subject to vehicle availability.
  • Additional rental charges will apply according to the prevailing rental rates.
  • Extension requests may be made through phone, WhatsApp, or email.

5. Vehicle Usage

  • The vehicle will only be driven by the registered driver(s).
  • The vehicle will not be sub-rented, lent, or handed over to any unauthorized person.
  • The vehicle will not be used for racing, off-road driving, towing, commercial transportation, or any illegal activities.
  • The customer shall comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations.

6. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the time of delivery.
  • Any shortage may result in refueling charges along with applicable service charges.

7. Traffic Violations

  • The customer is solely responsible for all traffic fines, challans, parking penalties, toll charges, and legal violations incurred during the rental period./li>
  • Goa Drive reserves the right to recover any unpaid fines from the customer.

8. Damage, Accident & Theft

  • The customer is fully responsible for any damage caused to the rental vehicle during the rental period.
  • Damage assessment shall be carried out by an authorized dealership or an approved repair workshop.
  • Repair charges shall be based on the final repair estimate or invoice.
  • The customer shall also be responsible for Loss of Use Charges, representing the rental income lost while the vehicle remains under repair.
  • In case of an accident, the customer must immediately inform Goa Drive and the local police (where required).
  • In the event of theft due to negligence, the customer may be liable for the applicable financial loss as determined under law and the rental agreement.

9. Mechanical Breakdown

  • In case of any mechanical issue or engine failure, the customer must immediately contact Goa Drive before arranging any repairs.
  • Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed.
  • Any approved repair reimbursement requires original invoices and prior authorization from Goa Drive.

10. Insurance

  • The vehicle is covered under applicable motor insurance as required by law.
  • However, damages resulting from negligence, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, violation of traffic laws, or unauthorized use may not be covered.
  • The customer shall remain liable for all uncovered damages and related expenses.

11. Vehicle Replacement

If the reserved vehicle is unavailable due to operational reasons, Goa Drive may provide a replacement vehicle of a similar or higher category, subject to availability.

  • If the replacement vehicle has a lower rental value, the difference will be adjusted or refunded.
  • If the replacement vehicle has a higher rental value, the customer shall pay the applicable difference before the rental begins.

12. Partner Vehicles

Goa Drive may fulfill bookings through verified partner vendors or vehicle owners whenever required. All such rentals remain subject to these Terms and Conditions unless otherwise specified.

13. Booking Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation More Than 48 Hours Before Pickup

  • The booking amount (token/advance) may be deducted as per the cancellation policy.
  • The remaining eligible amount, if any, will be refunded within 7–10 business days.

Cancellation Within 48 Hours Before Pickup

  • The booking amount paid may be non-refundable.
  • No refund shall be provided unless otherwise approved by Goa Drive.

Cancellation by Goa Drive

  • If Goa Drive cancels a confirmed booking due to vehicle unavailability or operational reasons, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
  • Refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days, depending on the payment method and banking partner.

14. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Drive responsibly and safely.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
  • Not smoke inside the vehicle unless permitted.
  • Return all accessories, keys, documents, and equipment provided with the vehicle.
  • Report any accident, breakdown, or damage immediately.

15. Privacy

Customer information is collected solely for booking, verification, legal compliance, and customer support purposes. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Force Majeure

Goa Drive shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, road closures, pandemics, or other unforeseen events.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Goa, India.
